Being One Of The Boys.
While it is no secret Lou and I both appreciate the fancier parts of womanhood – think shoes that cost our whole paycheck and pretty cocktails made with bespoke spirits we are also just as happy to have a chilled night out in our jeans. Having named our blog after relaxed attire and our guys you may have had some hints that we are just as comfortable in a speakeasy as in a sports bar and when you throw in some American style food you and the latest rugby game or Formula 1 race we are in our guilty pleasure heaven - It still gives me such a kick watching Lou drop some F1 stats to the unsuspecting male counterpart who's look of bewilderment is priceless.
In saying that some sports bars can be a bit of a man cave, however we were recently invited down to the Sporting Globe and it is anything but. Bartenders who could talk us through a wine list and multiple TVs playing all the games means that we can grab a drink and curl up in whichever corner is showing our favourite for an evening with, or without the boys.
Life is all about maintaining a balance so turning a ladies' night out into being one of the boys at the local sports bar is sometimes the perfect weekend.
