Local Shopping Gems In Melbourne.

If there is one thing that is synonymous with Melbourne it would have to be shopping. From op-shops to boutiques and retail giants like Zara there is a spot that will offer everyone some retail therapy. When TBFS began we wanted to highlight the little gems that our local culture has to offer, so we brought that ethos across to Melbourne. Although I could happily wonder around H&M, Zara or David Jones for hours this article is dedicated to the locals.
First up is all about what goes around comes around.... the faithful op-shops. My brother lives in Melbourne and has become a true hipster skateboarding along Swanston Street and like all uni students he has found the best spots to save some pennies on incredible vintage items. My recommendations for op-shopping is to wear some comfy shoes and walk along Sydney street, Brunswick Street, Nicholson Street and Lygon Street. My personal favourite of the bunch was Scavengers at 349 Sydney Street.

As I said before, we are all for supporting local designers and the beautiful ladies at Kuwaii are no exception. Walking into the store you're immediately blown away by the pastels and block colours of their garments. Personally I have a soft spot for shoes, and the bespoke range offered at Kuwaii had me weak at the knees. Not only is this little boutique home to the Melbourne label it is also design HQ. With a studio out back (which we were lucky enough to see) Kuwaii is a must for all those in the neighbourhood. Find them at 37-39 Glenlyon Road
