Emma Hack, An Artistic Master of Disguise.
When we received an email from Linton and Kay about Emma Hack we actually had to RSVP no because we had another commitment. But then we realised that was crazy talk and rearranged our evening to make sure we could head down to the gallery and check out Emma Hack’s exhibition on Tuesday night.
(Emma's gorgeous model for the night - Chantelle Peters.)
The exhibition; a collection of the Florence Broadhurst archives and Emma’s new work is (predictably) breathtaking with new works taking a stronger, almost oriental inspired direction which is contrasted beautifully with the soft pastels of the Broadhurst wallpaper collection.
We got to chat with Emma while she was cutting out shapes from wallpaper to stick on her model (who had been in the gallery since 11am that day getting painted) and we can safely say she is one of the most down to earth women we have had the pleasure to meet!
The exhibition is on until the 14th of May at Linton and Kay gallery in the CBD and is one of our all time favorites so it is definitely a TBFS must do. Make a day of it and head down (literally - the bar is right under the gallery) to Bar Lafayette afterwards for lunch and a cocktail!
