Day 4 - TPFF

Future Runway

Always one of our favourite shows, Future Runway showcased the talents of the up and coming next generation of Perth fashion designers.

Untainted by the prospect of commercial success, this show was creativity and unbridled passion at it's weirdest and most wonderful. It was so inspiring to get a glimpse inside the world of these fledgling brands and we can't wait to see what they do next!

One Fell Swoop

The moment we walked into the runway we knew we were in for a treat. Ethereal and haunting mannequins clothed in One Fell Swoop's signature draping and curved lines were hung from the roof to create a ghostly landscape while the runway was covered in unfurling smoke that engulfed the audience.

I can only imagine the brief to the models was supermodel meets spectre as they eerily slunk down the catwalk, emerging from plumes of smoke to reveal their look. The collection featured a heavily neutral palette which put the emphasis on the design duo's deftness with drapery however the addition of Aimee Cherie Intimates peeking out from under the deigns and features of red, print and green added a playful vibe and elevated the show to the next level.

Subtle, seductive and a perfect study in feminine minimalism, we loved it!
